And yet, the moment things get tense, it all plays out differently. The crisis leader steers less than expected, roles aren’t picked up and decisions stall. Not because your team doesn’t want to, but because pressure works differently from a calm meeting.
Resilient through collaboration
Sound familiar? You’re not the exception. Collaborating under pressure is a different skill from collaborating without it. You don’t learn it from a document. You learn it by practising.
We see this up close in the crisis exercises we run. The plan is right and the people are capable, but under pressure it’s hard to make the right decisions and stay in control. That’s human.
That is why we train teams on what gives way first under pressure: collaboration, communication and decision-making.
A plan you’ve never practised isn’t certainty. It’s an assumption.

Our team
Crisis Dynamics was founded by Youri van Geldrop and Yarik Flik. From Voorschoten, we work with organisations across the Netherlands.
